The battery lasts a long time and it charges the phone quickly. Being able to use it as a phone stand is a bonus.

UPDATE: Anker reached out to me and sent me a new charger. After spending some time with it, it was obvious that the previous charger was very much a lemon. My biggest issue was that it wouldn’t hold a charge when being stored. The new charger maintains its charge to where I’m comfortable about not worrying about it in an emergency. And I am able to fully charge my phone with it now. The magnetic hold is still just okay and it still gets a little too warm when charging the phone, imo, but I can deal with that. I appreciate the customer service that Anker provided.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: When it comes to charging my electronic devices, Anker is my go to brand. I’ve bought and used various products over the years with 100% satisfaction, but this one was less than stellar.

It looks nice, it’s not too heavy, the fold out kickstand is a great addition. Like other reviews mentioned, the magnet isn’t that strong and it gets hot when charging the phone. I have not been able to get a full phone charge out of it. And the charger doesn’t stay charged. After I use it, I charge it back up and put it away. When I pull it out, and I’m talking just a few days later, it’s dead. If my power goes out, I can’t count on the power pack to be working.

Maybe I have a defective pack. But because of its performance, I don’t recommend this product. As the title of my review says, it got 3 stars only because it’s an Anker and in general I have been happy with their products.

Who doesn't need a back up charger?! This one is cute, slim, and does the job. It's light and portable, easy to carry around. The capacity is okay, great for a night out but not that large for a day at Disney. It's easy to use plugged in or through magsafe and while magsafe is slower, it is more convenient to not have to worry about a cable and whether the cable is long enough or short enough.

Anker has a wonderful reputation of making good high quality products and I’ve gotten multiple of their cords and their charging banks with great experiences, and this is no different. It’s slim, generally light weight, feels great in the hands, good side, and comes with the bonus feature of a built in kick stand that reminds me of my iPad cases. The magnets are strong and the MagSafe is very good, especially with a case on your phone that also has added MagSafe magnets. The indicators on the side near the button are nicely lit and clear and I find I can get about a full charge and a half out of the battery. It does make the iPhone very warm, but MagSafe is generally that way since inductive charging isn’t as efficient, so it’s definitely a give and take there. Speed isn’t the best, but it’s not the worst either. It’ll keep your phone alive. Generally, I’d suggest using this when not using your phone. Also, if it’s in a pocket charging your phone, it’ll make the phone overheat very fast, so be aware. I definitely recommend getting this battery bank. It’s reliable and has given me a very good experience overall.

I have been trying to hold off on buying a new phone but my battery dies daily between 3-5 pm. I needed something that was mobile as I am usually cleaning and/or cooking and also like to watch things from my phone with ear buds in. My kids monopolize the TV in the afternoon!
This is exactly what I needed! The gets warm but never hot. It’s compact enough that I can throw it in a wristlet and the stand is awesome.
I am not sure why people complained about the magnets. I have NEVER had the stand collapse, even when I tried to force it and the phone is secure on the MagSafe charger. I will say that could be part of the problems other have, for the phone magnet to be strong you NEED to have a MagSafe case.
